What does it cost to add additional insureds?
Given that Career Shield Insurance offers coverage for an array of different allied health and wellness professions, we have a few cost options when it comes to adding additional insureds to your policy.
Cost per individual additional insured:
$10 for 1-year policy or the end of the policy term
$15.95 for 2-year policy or the end of the policy term
Unlimitied Additional Insured Package
$30.00 Unlimited Additional Insureds for 1-year policy or the end of the policy term
$45.95 Unlimited Additional Insureds for 2-year policy or the end of the policy term
Is there a limit to the number of additional insureds that I can add to my policy?
We do not have a limit to the number of additional insureds that can be added to your policy. Prior to adding numerous additional insureds though, we do ask that you check our additional insured cost options.
What is the definition of an "Additional Insured"?
“Additional insured” is a type of endorsement in which you add someone and/or a business entity to your policy. This extends your coverage to protect them as well in the case that a claim or acts within a claim are connected to your business.
How do I know who qualifies as an AI (or Additional Insured)?
There are limits to who can be added as an additional insured. Additional insureds should be those that have a direct vested interest in your business. Examples of qualified additional insureds can be:
- The business you work out of/with
- Business owners and/or partners
- Employer(s) (if applicable)
- Landlord(s)
- Property and/or business management
- Vendors
Is it possible to remove or replace an additional insured?
Yes, this is absolutely doable. To have any current additional insureds replaced or removed, please email us at info@careershieldinsurance.com
How long does the process of adding an additional insured to my policy take?
The process of filling out our additional insured form takes only minutes. To finalize the process of adding the additional insured(s) to your policy, please allow our licensed agents 1-3 business days.
Are there any exclusions to what is covered under an Additional Insured Endorsement?
There are no policy exclusions in additional insured endorsement coverage that do not also apply to you, the policy holder. To confirm any current modalities practiced and/or coverage limits, you can email us info@careershieldinsurance.com.
How do I pay for my additional insured additions?
After you fill out our Additional Insured Request Form above, a member of our customer service team will call you on the number listed on your policy to confirm your additional insured(s).
Once confirmed, one of our licensed agents will charge you on that same call for the newly added additional insured(s), unless you have already purchased our Unlimited Insureds package. In this case, you will not be charged for any additional insured endorsements.
Online purchase options for additional insureds are not available at this time.
What happens if I already purchased the Unlimited Additional Insureds package? Do I still have to pay for adding additional insureds?
No. If you have already purchased our Unlimited Additional Insureds package, you will not have to pay to add any additional insureds to your policy.
